Greetings, and welcome to my website!
I am a photojournalistic-style freelance photographer based in Lincoln, RI serving all of Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
I have over 20 years experience as a professional photographer, including eight years as a staff photographer for the Providence Journal. During that time I photographed news, sports and feature assignments for the paper and the projo.com website. Prior to joining the news staff, I worked in the Journal’s Promotion Department, serving all the company’s corporate photography and audio/visual needs. Nowadays, I work in the Marketing and Communications department of Lifespan, a hospital network in Rhode Island.
I am brining my Journalism background to my freelance photography business, offering my clients a unique vision for their photography needs. I bring a creative, original approach to assignments allowing my photographs to document the event I am shooting. Working in journalism has given me a refined attention to detail, while training me to work well under pressure and deadline. For your event I will shoot in a candid, documentary style, allowing my pictures to tell your unique story.
A member of the National Press Photographers Association, I am a four-time winner of photography awards from the New England Associated Press News Executive Association, including a First Place Award for Sports Feature in 2004.
Besides the Providence Journal, my photos have appeared in The Boston Herald, The Pawtucket Times, The Woonsocket Call, The Warwick Beacon, The Providence Phoenix, The Block Island Times, The East Providence Post, The Barrington Times, The Seekonk Star, The Bristol Phoenix.
